AHEAD, the hospitality design awards now marking their tenth anniversary, has named its Americas winners for 2026 at Gotham Hall in New York. Each winner now goes forward to compete against other regions at the next AHEAD Global edition, where the worldwide champions will be crowned.

Delano Miami Beach has a strong night: the hotel takes the renovation category, and its Rose Bar wins Bar, Club or Lounge, both with Ennismore and the design studio Elastic. Seattle's Populus wins Hotel Conversion, and One&Only Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana, designed by Olson Kundig, wins Hotel Newbuild.

Rosewood Mandarina on Mexico's Riviera Nayarit turns up again and again across the list. Event Spaces also goes to the Waldorf Astoria New York, and Casa Gallareta, in Villa La Angostura in Argentine Patagonia, appears under Lodges, Cabins & Tented Camps. The Penrose Room at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is named too, as are Spa Nalai at the Park Hyatt in New York and Mira Earth Studios in Baja California's Valle de Guadalupe.

This is a winners' list rather than a review, so there is little here on rooms or menus. Still, it makes a handy shortlist for anyone planning a design-minded trip from Seattle to Patagonia.
