MIRA Earth Studios

Ten adults-only studios sit on a hilltop above the vineyards of Valle de Guadalupe, each with wall-to-wall windows, a private hot tub and fire pit, and lights, blinds and music run from a tablet.

The story

Each studio is entered through a bunker-style doorway that opens onto a glass front sliding fully open to a patio with a jacuzzi, seating and a fire pit, with the makings for s'mores provided. The shades double as a screen for an in-room projector, some rooms add a private sauna, and a kitchenette comes well stocked. Breakfast arrives as a basket to cook yourself, chilaquiles included. The hilltop pool looks across the valley, and the Fireside restaurant and lounge serves cocktails and plates such as clams, mussels, shrimp birria, crispy potatoes, sea bass and guacamole. Day pool passes let non-guests share the view. Massages and in-room dinners cooked by the chef, who works around dietary requests, are also on offer. The hotel belongs to Marriott Bonvoy and appears in the Michelin Guide.

Good to know

TAGGG AI
  • The dirt road up to the hilltop is rough, so take the drive slowly.
  • Order the breakfast basket; the chilaquiles you cook in your studio's kitchen are a standout.
  • Non-guests can buy day pool passes and eat poolside, where seafood like clams, mussels and shrimp birria shines.
