Chapitre Six brings a moody, London-club-style hotel to the French Alps, with a Simone Zanoni trattoria and a vinyl bar.

Chapitre Six, the French collection behind Hôtel La Ponche in Saint-Tropez and the revived Bus Palladium in Paris, is heading to the mountains. According to its press release, Bourbon Hotel opens in Courchevel 1850 on 18 December 2026, with 28 rooms and three suites and direct ski-in, ski-out access to Les Trois Vallées. The name is meant to hold two ideas at once: a nod to French nobility and the amber of a late-night pour.

Instead of the usual chalet look, Parisian Studio Henry has gone for something closer to a private London club: velvets, dark wood, low lights and deep armchairs, with art direction by Pierre-Alexis Guinet and floor-to-ceiling glass for the mountain views. Food comes from Simone Zanoni, of Le George at the George V in Paris, making his mountain debut with Simonetta, a trattoria inspired by his Italian grandmother's Sunday lunches. After dark there is a cocktail and vinyl bar built around a fireplace, and downstairs a stone-and-onyx spa with an indoor pool, sauna and hammam.

It sits in the centre of the resort, close to the shops and restaurants. Worth a look for skiers who prefer an evening by the record player to a classic alpine lodge; check booking details nearer the opening.
