Cap d'Antibes Beach Hotel
Architect Bernard Dubois reshaped this 35-room hotel between the ports of Gallice and Crouton as a nod to Palm Springs houses, with its own beach, BABA's Jerusalem-inspired beach kitchen and the Michelin-starred Les Pêcheurs.
The story
White rendered walls catch light and shadow across a geometric structure that borrows from Palm Springs modernism and Mediterranean villas. Rooms open off white lacquered wooden walkways, stone floors run from outside to in, and bathrooms come in pink marble; some rooms have private gardens, while upper ones have sea-view terraces. An exotic garden, an infinity pool under a pergola and a wellness space with yoga beneath a jacaranda fill the grounds. Les Pêcheurs, an institution since the 1940s, serves dinner in a room of rust-coloured marble and varnished mahogany projecting over the water, with chef Nicolas Rondelli's menu set by the morning catch. By day, BABA, run with chef Assaf Granit, sends Mediterranean cooking from an open-air kitchen around a circular bar beside the hotel's private beach, where pedalos, bikes and boats await.
Good to know
TAGGG AI- ✦Sunbeds at the beach club fill up fast in July, so book as early as the hotel allows.
- ✦At BABA, try the Fishwarma, a fish shawarma plate with yogurt, or the burger for lunch on the sand.
- ✦Free e-bikes make it easy to reach spots around Antibes, which is handy given the hotel's quieter corner.
