New Orleans

Fairmont New Orleans

Newly opened in the Central Business District, Fairmont New Orleans puts 250 rooms, two Emeril Lagasse restaurants and a rooftop pool lounge within steps of the French Quarter and the Superdome.

The story

The rooms and suites mix heritage textures with contemporary design: marble entryways, sunroom-inspired sitting areas and bathrooms with dual vanities and rain showers. Depending on the room, windows face the city skyline, the Mississippi River or the French Quarter, and a bi-level loft suite has 20-foot ceilings. Fairmont Gold occupies floors 29 and 30, with private check-in, a dedicated concierge and a lounge serving breakfast and evening canapés. Chef Emeril Lagasse is behind two of the dining rooms: Delmonico Steakhouse, a dinner-only take on the classic steakhouse with New Orleans influence, and The Café by Emeril, serving chicory coffee and Creole-inspired Southern dishes at breakfast and lunch. Up top, Third Measure pairs live music with craft cocktails, while Bleu Perdu is a poolside lounge with skyline views. A lobby bar, spa and fitness centre round things out.
