Amsterdam RAI

Amsterdam RAI is a vast exhibition and congress complex on Europaplein, a run of interconnected pavilions hosting trade fairs such as ISPO and Horecava alongside KunstRAI, MagicCon and family musicals.

The story

Trade fairs, congresses and stage shows all pass through this multifunctional building on Europaplein. The calendar swings from ISPO, Horecava and the Huishoudbeurs to KunstRAI, MagicCon, a 101 Dalmatians musical and a show by Brian Cox. The halls are huge and bright, with interconnected pavilions, clear signage, plenty of restrooms and snack bars and food options spread throughout. The RAI is also investing in renewing the complex. Getting there is straightforward: a metro station sits right nearby, and Amsterdam RAI train station is two stops from Schiphol Airport, though bicycles remain the main way in. Next door, the nhow Amsterdam RAI hotel offers 650 rooms and a restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows over the RAI, Zuidas and the city. Bars around the venue give a place to unwind after a long day.

Good to know

TAGGG AI
  • It can be cold inside the halls, so bring a sweater or layers, especially for multi-day conferences.
  • The complex has several entrances, so head to the main entrance on arrival, and expect plenty of walking at large events.
  • Parking can be pre-booked, and number plate recognition speeds up getting in and out.
