LèGACY Hanoi, a 218-room Fusion hotel and wellness retreat, opens in Hanoi
Fusion's new Hanoi tower borrows from the city's old gate, the Red River and peach blossom, with views over West Lake.
Fusion Hotel Group has opened LèGACY Hanoi in the historic Ngoc Ha ward, a tall hotel and serviced-apartment building with views across the city and West Lake. The design draws on local touchstones: the old O Quan Chuong Gate, the Red River and the five-petal peach blossom. CEO Christopher Hur said the aim was a place that feels "truly connected to Hanoi". This comes from a press release, so read the claims with that in mind.
Arrivals walk in beneath a large interpretation of the chim hac, or crane, suspended over the reception, and there are complimentary refreshments in the lobby. Of the 218 units, 85 are hotel rooms and suites on floors 14 to 18, the rest serviced apartments. Every room has a balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows and a vintage record player with vinyl. The apartments mix warm wood with indigo and terracotta.
YÊN Spa, named after the Vietnamese word for peace, offers Vietnamese-based treatments and an onsen with hot and cold pools, sauna and steam room. On the 24th floor, MỘC LOFT serves an all-day menu reworking Northern Vietnamese cooking, and 24 Social and Terrace is the open-air rooftop bar.
Worth considering for a longer stay with a view, or simply a sunset drink up top.
