Bus Palladium returns as a hotel that still likes to dance
Studio KO has rebuilt the storied Pigalle address as a 35-room hotel with a restaurant, rooftop and underground club.
Bus Palladium is back in Pigalle, though not as a straight restoration. Studio KO has turned the storied Rue Pierre Fontaine nightclub into a five-star hotel with 35 rooms and suites, a restaurant and bar, a rooftop and an underground club, all open since 10 April 2026. The old building could not support the new scheme and was demolished, but the architects have tried to carry its character forward through atmosphere, materials and a few familiar signals, including the return of the red neon sign.
That mix of memory and reinvention runs through the interiors. Concrete ceilings and cork-lined walls meet powder-pink carpets, blue mirrors and corduroy curtains, while smaller details nod to music: switches modelled on vintage amplifiers, handles that recall microphone grilles, and wooden speakers loaded with the hotel’s playlists. The Dalí Suite pushes furthest into the address’s 1970s mood, with a mirrored alcove and balcony looking onto the neon below.
Downstairs, the social life continues. The restaurant wraps around a planted glass cube, with diner-style alcoves, banquettes and a wall lined with more than a thousand vinyl records, including items from founder James Arch’s collection. Chef Valentin Raffali’s menus are described as concise and seasonal, and a DJ console can be pulled from the vinyl bar when dinner starts to blur into the night. Useful for anyone who likes their hotel with a bit of after-hours life built in.
