The Dome at America's Center
Pope John Paul II's 1999 Mass here was the largest indoor gathering ever held in the U.S.; today this downtown dome switches between Battlehawks football, stadium concerts, monster trucks and trade shows.
The story
Physically linked to the rest of the America's Center convention complex, the Dome is engineered to change shape: an exhibition floor one week, a playing field the next, then a concert venue with more than 67,000 seats. Its history includes the 2005 NCAA Men's Final Four, years of Rams football, and stadium tours by Taylor Swift, AC/DC and Kendrick Lamar. These days the UFL's St. Louis Battlehawks play their home games here, and the calendar fills out with motocross, dirt racing, Monster Jam, bridal expos and fan conventions. Two permanent special events spaces inside the building host receptions, parties and galas, and the surrounding downtown blocks are lined with major hotels and restaurants.
Good to know
TAGGG AI- ✦The Dome is cashless, so bring a card or phone to pay for food and drinks.
- ✦Avoid end seats on second-level rows at Battlehawks games, where railings can block the view.
- ✦Plan parking or arrive early, especially when a Cardinals game downtown starts at the same time as your event.
