Auberge Collection has shared a first look at The Knox, a new hotel meant to anchor a wider reworking of Dallas's Knox Street neighbourhood into a mixed-use district. Its best asset may be its address: it sits right on the Katy Trail, a 3.5-mile green corridor for walking, running and cycling, and a short stroll from the area's tree-lined streets, boutiques and restaurants.

Martin Brudnizki Design Studio handled the interiors. The 140 rooms and suites are pitched as private residences, with custom furniture, art, marble bathrooms and plenty of space to settle in. The two signature suites go much further. The Manse has its own fitness space, wellness room, bar and media room, while the Promenade Suite opens onto a terrace of roughly 2,100 sq ft with several dining and lounge areas.

There are also 48 private residences by Chad Dorsey Design, along with two- and three-bedroom apartments for longer stays. Elsewhere you'll find a pool garden with skyline views, a wellbeing centre, a concept store and several restaurants, though none of them is named yet.

This is a press preview, and the piece gives no opening date or prices. Keep it in mind if you want a Dallas base where a morning run starts at the front door, and check Auberge for booking news.
