First look at Andaz Turks & Caicos, a resort on Grace Bay
Hyatt's first hotel in Turks & Caicos opens on Grace Bay in spring 2027, with interiors drawn from boats and local dress.
Andaz has shared first images of its Turks & Caicos resort, due to open in spring 2027. It will be Hyatt's first hotel in the islands and the brand's first Caribbean island resort. RAD Architecture designed the building, which curves with the coastline and faces west towards the sunset, and Modus Operandi did the interiors with Hyatt. It sits on Grace Bay's white sand, steps from Bight Reef in Princess Alexandra National Park.
The arrival is the idea to notice. A nod to the days when visitors came only by boat, it turns the old pier into a long, wood-lined corridor framed like an upturned hull, 15ft above the sea. Inside there is local stone, teak and shades of blue, and the striped traditional dress of Turks & Caicos, one stripe per island, reappears in the wooden headboards.
There will be 59 rooms and 73 residences that can also be booked, ten of them penthouses with rooftop plunge pools. Tamarà, an indoor-outdoor oceanfront restaurant, has bottle-green tile and a fishnet-like canopy. Baie is a two-level pool bar, Palmette a café selling locally made baskets and tableware, and there is a lobby bar and Runa Spa & Wellness.
These are first-look renderings from a press release, so nothing to book yet. Worth bookmarking for a Caribbean beach trip in 2027.
