HIEN FROM VIETNAM

A tiny Vietnamese art café in Chinatown, pouring strong, sweet cà phê sữa đá and a short list of coffees and teas in a dark, woody room with an artsy feel.

The story

Hien From Vietnam calls itself a Vietnamese art café, rooted in heritage and blending coffee with art. The menu sticks to an array of Vietnamese coffee styles, including a Viet black coffee of the day and the classic iced coffee, alongside green, black and oolong teas. The owner, Christmas, pays close attention to detail, from how the beans are sourced and processed to how the ice is served in each drink. Inside, the space is small and serene, with a cool, dark wooden interior, a little wall of stationery and a handful of seats on either side of the counter where drinks are made. Hien's journal is there to read, with room to add your own entry before you leave.
