The story
Styled after an old apothecary, this Chinatown bar treats its drinks as formulas, mixing house-made recipes from organic herbs, botanicals and seasonal ingredients on a menu that changes with the seasons. The Dove of Peace is smooth and well balanced, and the bartenders will also mix drinks of their own choosing. The room plays the hidden speakeasy: intimate and a little mysterious, with lighting, music and decor tuned to feel like another era. Even the bathroom sink is a talking point. Seating is first come, first served, sophisticated attire is encouraged and entry is at the host's discretion. The bar also runs in-person Apotheke Academy classes, and it has sister locations in NoMad and Los Angeles.
