The story
Nxabega's nine tented suites were fully renovated in 2016 and are spaced well apart for privacy. Each has a private deck facing the bush, a stocked bar, an espresso and tea caddy and homemade snacks, along with a fan and a large bed. Elephants wander through camp, and there is a big communal pool and a curio shop. Days revolve around game drives with guide-and-tracker teams who find the big five, regular leopards and sometimes wild dogs, while birders can tick off dozens of species. Motorboat cruises and mokoro trips add a view from the water, sundowners close the afternoon and massages are offered back at camp. Meals are freshly prepared throughout the day, and drivers return to a cold drink and a face cloth, with the occasional private dinner set up at your tent.
