The story
Previously known as Arena Milano, and as Milano Santa Giulia Arena during the Winter Olympics, the venue hosted international hockey matches such as Sweden against Slovakia and Finland against Italy. The structure makes a strong visual impression from outside, while the bowl inside is big and spacious, with a powerful, clear sound system and striking lighting. The programme now leans toward live entertainment: Ligabue's anniversary tour, Bob Dylan, Laura Pausini, Pitbull and Holiday on Ice's cinema-themed skating show are among the dates. Food comes from a burger bar, a sandwich bar, kiosks and a 'Future Market'. The arena sits some way from the city centre, and a shuttle bus links it with Rogoredo metro station.
