The story

A renovation has remade the lobby and rooms here, and the result feels closer to a boutique hotel than a standard chain property. Rooms are quiet and modern, made up with Marriott's Revive bedding and laid out for working as well as resting, which suits the convention and business crowd. The gym is now a large, well-equipped room open around the clock. Breakfast is a big open buffet with Canadian maple syrup, fresh bread, organic butter, sausages and fresh orange juice. At dinner, a chef may prepare dishes such as beef tartare in front of guests. The hotel sits a cab ride from the Duomo and Galleria, in a neighbourhood with an Esselunga supermarket across the street and restaurants such as Anna by Borgia and D'Amare a few minutes' walk away.
