Exhibition · Onassis Mandra
Clinamen, bowls that play music
Hundreds of white porcelain bowls drift on moving water in three round pools, and chime as they touch. Céleste Boursier-Mougenot first made Clinamen in 1997, and it has since been shown in Paris and New York.
In Athens it opens the renovated Onassis Mandra, below the Acropolis, and for the first time it’s outdoors, so wind, light and the city change the music. Tickets are €5; a day pass lets you come back after dark.

Exhibition · Megaron
Danae Stratou, the moon and a pebble
Danae Stratou’s new show, Afales | Navels, opened on Thursday in annexM, the Megaron’s service yard. It’s about time, gravity, water and the Moon: a disc of raw salt traces its orbit, and a light sculpture follows its real phases.
A pebble from Afales Beach on Ithaca appears twice, in resin and in metal, beside photographs of the Moon and a soundscape of Eleni Potaga’s poem. It’s free, from 12:00 to 20:00, until 31 January.

Barbara Kruger, in Greek, by the canal
Barbara Kruger’s first solo show in Greece is outdoors, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center: 13 new works along the canal and the esplanade, and a 90-metre mural on the National Library.
For the first time she writes in Greek, in her bold slogans. Walk the length of the canal, then up through the park to the Lighthouse for the view over the bay. It’s free, until 1 November.
