Dolce Nova, a new hotel brand about the luxury of time
Wyndham launches an upper-upscale brand inspired by 'the sweetness of doing nothing'.
Wyndham has launched Dolce Nova, a new upper-upscale brand within its Dolce Hotels & Resorts family. It takes its cue from the Italian idea of il dolce far niente, the sweetness of doing nothing, and it's built around slowing down.
While Dolce hotels are known for meetings, events and resorts, Dolce Nova focuses on wellbeing, connection and time. Wyndham says travellers increasingly measure luxury by authenticity and meaningful experiences rather than extravagance, and want a stronger feel for the places they visit.
The brand is organised around five ideas, each with a gently poetic name. Arrive & Belong covers lounges, cafés, bars and restaurants that give an instant sense of place. Restore & Revive is about the spa, wellness and fitness. Rest & Retreat means calm rooms and suites. Pass & Pause turns hallways and in-between spaces into places to linger. Connect & Create brings guests and locals together through co-working, social spaces and events.
Dimitris Manikis, Wyndham's president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, says time has become the thing travellers value most. Hotels can be new builds or conversions, and talks are underway across the region.
There are no hotels to visit yet, so this is one to watch rather than book. We'll share the first openings when they're announced.
