Open since 2014 in Maslak, Volkswagen Arena is a dedicated live music hall known for its acoustics, set up in different capacities for Turkish pop stars, international touring acts, film concerts and stand-up.
The story
The venue bills itself as having the best acoustics in Europe and the most advanced infrastructure in Türkiye. Since 2014 it has hosted live events in a range of configurations and sizes. The hall in Sarıyer is kept clean, its nights run in an orderly way, and staff are on hand to help. The programme leans on big Turkish names, with multi-night runs by Yalın, Ebru Gündeş and Tan Taşçı, plus Zülfü Livaneli and Emel Sayın's Yeşilçam Senfonisi. The wider calendar takes in Altın Gün, Saint Levant's Afandi World Tour, Black Label Society and Nevermore. It also hosts two showings of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire In Concert in a single day and a stand-up night from Morgan Jay.
