Terreno Barrio Hotel
A tribute to El Terreno, the seafront Palma quarter once favoured by bourgeois holidaymakers and European bohemians, this boutique hotel pairs Mediterranean design with a rooftop pool, a spa and the Destape restaurant.
The story
The hotel spans two buildings. The older one holds rooms with terraces, the El Terrado rooftop bar looking out to Bellver Castle and the sea, and Destape, a restaurant rooted in local tradition with terrace and indoor seating. The modern building adds the rooftop pool, a spa with hammam, cold plunge and indoor pool, and a gym. Rooms, among them the Joan Miró, Gomila and Bellver suites, have touches such as a radio-minibar and Majorcan toiletries. Breakfast is à la carte and built on local produce, and there is also the Rosevelvet Café and a club downstairs. Plaça Gomila's nightlife is a few steps away, the marina is a short walk, and a nearby bus stop connects to the old town and the beaches.
