The story
Tamodi Estate & Polo Reserve is an intimate countryside retreat carved into a hidden valley in the Tsitsikamma hills, just off the N2. Guests can watch the ponies train in the morning, wander through the stables at dusk, or take to nature trails, horseback rides and private wine tastings, with evenings gathered on the Bird Deck. The seven suites pair natural materials and careful craftsmanship with views over the valley. Villas have vaulted ceilings, art objects, deep baths, Soho Home blankets and Dyson hairdryers. The main lodge, with its fairy-tale architecture, holds a dining area, pool, sun deck and a sitting room lined with books. Breakfast is a highlight, with fresh baking from the on-site kitchen, and snacks and sweets are set out for guests on the main deck.
