Streatham & Marlborough Cricket Club
Two well-kept cricket pitches on Dulwich Common host one of south London's biggest clubs, with men's, women's and junior teams, a large and fast-growing girls' and women's section, and players aged from 5 to 70-plus.
The story
Tucked just off the South Circular beside the Green Chain Walk, the home ground of Streatham & Marlborough has two pitches, artificial-turf practice nets and a pitch-side pavilion with a bar that opens during matches. A new pavilion officially opened in April 2026, and picnic tables sit under a willow tree looking across the lower pitch. The club fields seven men's teams most Saturdays, and over 140 women and girls make up around 30% of its playing membership. It is led by a chairwoman, and its women won the inaugural Surrey Slam T20 in 2019. The juniors section runs cricket for more than 240 boys and 100 girls, with holiday camps alongside coaching partners 360 Cricket. After-match gatherings run all season, with quiz nights in winter, and the pitches can be hired.
