The story
Pizzaiolo Stelios Tsoubanidis, previously at Roadslice in Halandri, runs the kitchen at Ronnie’s in Glyfada. Tables and sofas face the open kitchen, with the dough-making equipment visible in a separate glass-fronted room. The square pizzas have airy, thick bases and the crisp cheese edge known as frico. The 2112 combines pepperoni, spicy chorizo, chilli and parmesan. Beyond pizza, fried chicken comes on a waffle with bacon and maple syrup. Greek craft beers include bottles from Sourmena and Strange Brew, and a few outdoor tables extend the seating beyond the ovens.
