Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection
The former Rimrock Resort Hotel reopened in 2026 as North America's first Emblems Collection hotel, Accor's ultra-luxury brand, set high above the Bow Valley with sweeping mountain views across Banff National Park.
The story
After a property-wide reimagining, this mountainside hotel near the Banff Gondola and Upper Hot Springs now has four dining concepts inspired by the Canadian Rockies, a lobby bar called Social, and a two-storey, 9,600 sq ft wellness and movement facility with an infinity pool. Rooms run from forest-view kings to a two-bedroom suite with a private terrace, and the best of them look out over the Bow River and the Banff Springs Hotel. The setting does much of the work. Wooded trails wind around the grounds, where deer and elk wander, sometimes right below the windows at dusk. An adventure centre helps plan outings, guides called Pathfinders lead curated expeditions into the national park, and shuttle drivers fill rides to town or Lake Louise with local history and wildlife knowledge.
