The story
Restaurant du Château grows from the friendship and vision of Alexandre and Tom, who met at hotel school and spent a decade honing their skills in kitchens and dining rooms before returning to their Alsatian roots. Their restaurant occupies an emblematic village house steeped in local history—its walls hosted the beginnings of Kaysersberg’s famed Christmas market—just across from a sixteenth-century fountain in the center of town. Alexandre draws on training at distinguished addresses such as Anne-Sophie Pic’s La Dame de Pic, Le Caprice in Hong Kong, and Kaysersberg’s own L’Alchémille. His cooking respects the seasons, using carefully chosen ingredients to offer an unpretentious, generous take on French tradition—crafted for sharing, enjoyment and return visits.
