The story
PLEX inhabits the former SOFIPLEX weaving factory in Kerameikos, pairing a rough industrial shell with a busy cultural calendar. Exhibitions, music nights, workshops, professional meetups, residencies, and community gatherings all cycle through the space, which is still operating in a pilot phase. The project also links the factory with the adjacent abandoned Hotel Kerameikos, framing the site as a longer regeneration effort rather than a single event venue. Education and emerging creative practices sit alongside public programming, giving this central Athens address a flexible role in the city's contemporary culture scene.
