Plenitude Arena
Europe's largest indoor arena sits at the foot of the Grande Arche in La Défense, hosting stadium-scale concerts, Racing 92 rugby and major sporting events under one climate-controlled roof.
The story
Jacky Lorenzetti, president of Racing 92, set out in 2010 to build Europe's biggest covered entertainment venue in Nanterre. Architect Christian de Portzamparc won the design competition against 27 agencies, and the Rolling Stones opened the hall in October 2017 with three nights. Known first as Arena 92, then U Arena and later Paris La Défense Arena, it now carries the Plenitude name through a new naming partnership. Capacity scales from 10,000 to 45,000, with 13 km of stands, 100 private suites and a 1,500 m² projection wall behind a façade of 592 scales. Alongside rugby and residencies by artists from Mylène Farmer to Céline Dion, it has staged the Rolex Paris Masters, the start of a Tour de France final stage and moments of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
