The story
Perlouse keeps its focus on Normandy oysters, seafood platters, and a concise spread of shellfish and raw dishes. Platters bring together oysters, whelks, shrimps, and bread with rillettes, while sea bass or sea bream tartare, salmon tartare, cod fritters, mussels, and octopus round out the menu; a little terrace and big open windows lighten the room. The restaurant opened in 2018 and was founded by two friends from the Cotentin, with oysters cultivated in Pirou and non-wine products sourced from Normandy. Near Moulin Rouge on Rue de Douai, it trades in a relaxed, slightly close-packed energy, with quick service and a bar-à-huîtres identity that suits a simple lunch as neatly as an evening seafood stop.
