The story
Ox Athens is a contemporary meat taverna built around fire. Charcoal, a wood-fired oven, slow-roasting spits, and the pan shape the cooking, with carefully selected cuts at the center and a handful of Greek staples reworked around them. The menu includes charred mushrooms, smoky eggplant dip, pepper salad, butter pasta, spaghetti with minced meat, Pasá kefté, and ekmek on syrup-soaked tsoureki. An open kitchen keeps the flames in view, while the wine list and meat-focused cooking give the place its clear sense of purpose.
