Osulloc Tea Museum
Osulloc's tea heritage space in Seogwipo sits beside its own green tea fields, pairing a compact exhibit on the brand's history with free tastings, an aged-tea cellar and a café known for matcha desserts.
The story
The exhibition rooms are small and trace the history of the plantations and the brand. Most of the building is given over to tasting counters and a large shop of loose-leaf teas, matcha snacks and chocolates. In the Tea Stone cellar, teas age in wooden barrels and can be sampled, and a packaging area shows how tea is prepared. Outside, paths and benches edge the tea fields. The café serves green tea ice cream and a layered matcha cake, while a noodle house in the garden makes hand-made matcha noodles. The Innisfree Jeju House shares the grounds, with exhibits on Jeju's volcanic ingredients. For more depth, the 80-minute premium tea course at Tea Stone, set against Gotjawal forest, covers a garden walk, tea brewing, tea cocktails with Jeju produce and organic tea roasting.
