The story

Part of the MOOBY Cinemas group, which also runs MOOBY Arenas on Gran Via, the Aribau cinema sits just off Universitat in the Eixample, handy for an after-work film. Its rooms deliver strong image and sound, and English-language films sometimes play undubbed with Spanish subtitles. Screen 5 is the main draw: a big-screen hall of around 300 seats in the manner of older city cinemas, well suited to blockbuster releases. The cinema also doubles as an event venue. It hosts the In-Edit film festival and has screened a documentary on Barcelona's rock history from the dictatorship years to the present, as well as a Jodorowsky film with the director himself in attendance.
