The story
The Karaindrou family’s original Mantri taverna began in the mountains in 1977. Mantri Tylikto brings that family’s cooking to a newer grill in Terpsithea, Glyfada, serving meat in pita wraps or as portions. The two formats put the grill at the centre of the smaller shop’s menu. Pork skewers, chicken breast and chicken thigh sit alongside kebab and beef patties. Country sausage comes from Karditsa, while a patty made with ewe meat is a house signature. That patty is available either wrapped in pita or served as a portion, carrying a less usual meat into the familiar souvlaki-shop format.
