Lodge & Spa at Brush Creek Ranch
Log cabins styled after an 1884 homestead anchor this all-inclusive dude ranch, set on a 30,000-acre working cattle spread outside Saratoga, where days run from horseback riding and fly fishing to private-mountain skiing.
The story
The original property of the Brush Creek Luxury Ranch Collection sits between the Sierra Madre range and Medicine Bow National Forest, about 17 miles from Saratoga. Its 45 units split into 26 private log cabins of one to four bedrooms and 19 lodge rooms, pairing western exteriors with modern comforts. Open year-round, it can host groups of up to 155. Activities include horseback riding, Orvis-endorsed fly fishing, a gun range, archery, a ropes course, climbing, llama hikes and cattle herding, while children aged 4 to 9 join the Lil Wranglers program. In winter, guests ski Green Mountain, the ranch's private 620-acre retreat reached by snowcat, break for lunch in mountain yurts and skate on frozen ponds. The Farm at Brush Creek adds seed-to-table dining at the Cheyenne Club, along with a distillery, brewery and creamery.
