The story
Linden House sits within the Dromgarriff Rainforest near Glengarriff in Co. Cork. Schemata Architects took on the renovation and restoration of this existing guesthouse, which stands deep in the forest rather than in the town itself. Guests look after themselves here, and the kitchen is well stocked for anyone planning to cook their own meals. Outside there is a sauna, and the house has a view of the bay. Hiking trails run through the rainforest on the property itself, so walks can start straight from the door, with the sauna waiting at the end of the day.
