The story
Kadro occupies the first floor of the Theocharakis Foundation, in a building of real architectural significance. At the top of the stairs is a spacious, high-ceilinged room full of windows and paintings, its neutral beige walls acting as a blank canvas for the art. The mood is quiet, built around coffee, food and art in one place. Three tables sit out on the balcony, where you can watch the city go by below. Inside, small koulouria arrive alongside drinks, and the calm suits reading, working or a business meeting. One corner holds a large table and a semi-circular sofa beneath windows. The foundation's permanent exhibition, with works by Gaitis and many other artists, and its gift shop make a natural pairing with a visit.
