Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel

Overlooking the Place de la Concorde, this 18th-century palace hotel pairs gilded historic salons with Rosewood's modern touch, plus Les Ambassadeurs bar, Nonos par Paul Pairet and a quiet inner courtyard.

The story

Hôtel de Crillon has stood on the Place de la Concorde since 1758. Its marble, crystal and gold leaf came through a Rosewood renovation that kept the historic bones intact. The Salons Historiques host events and weddings, and the rooms have custom art and marble bathrooms. The hotel has 36 suites and ten individually designed signature suites, among them the Karl Lagerfeld suites and the Marie-Antoinette Suite. Bar Les Ambassadeurs serves creative cocktails with live music, from a menu that traces nearly three centuries of history, beside windows facing the square. Nonos par Paul Pairet offers modern fine dining, Jardin d'Hiver serves all day, and Butterfly Pâtisserie sells cakes and chocolates. There is also a spa, Sense, A Rosewood Spa, along with a pool and programmes for children and dogs.
