Deli Deli

Focaccia and sourdough baked daily anchor this Kadıköy delicatessen, which turns them into sandwiches and pairs charcuterie boards and Spanish-style tapas with regional wines under high ceilings, beside an open garden.

The story

Deli Deli was set up to bring the style of European delicatessens to Zühtüpaşa in Kadıköy, blending it with Istanbul's layered food culture. The kitchen works from its bread: focaccia and sourdough baked fresh each day go into signature sandwiches to eat in or carry out. Charcuterie can be built into your own board or ordered as one of the chef's platters, and there are deli items to take home. The tapas side covers meze and seafood small plates meant for sharing, matched with regional wines or international beers. From a barstool at the open bar you can watch montaditos being assembled, while the garden suits a late breakfast. The day runs from quiet breakfasts and light lunches to afternoon wine and cheese and relaxed evening gatherings.

Good to know

TAGGG AI
  • An English menu is available on request, and sandwiches are ordered by choosing from a separate paper sheet.
  • Beer arrives in chilled glasses, and the fries make a good side to share with a group of friends.
  • The room is calm and quiet, better suited to an unhurried meal than a loud night out.
