Café de quartier

Café Richard and Bouillon Service run this bright kiosk in Gare du Nord, pairing traditionally made coffee with bistro dishes, pastries and sandwiches packed to take on the train.

The story

Coffee house Café Richard and Bouillon Service teamed up to open the very first Café de Quartier inside Gare du Nord in autumn 2026. It occupies a fully renovated historic kiosk in hall 1, a compact 16-square-metre space on the station's ground level. The kiosk is billed as temporary, so it belongs to this moment in the station's life. The menu follows the day: coffee and viennoiseries in the morning, then plats, an afternoon goûter and apéritifs later on. Croissants pair with a chicory latte, and there are savoury buns and a selection of sandwiches. Everything is meant to be carried onto your train, and the coffee is prepared the traditional way alongside bistro-style dishes in the spirit of the Paris bouillons.

Good to know

TAGGG AI
  • Service is quick and friendly, which makes it a practical stop when you have a train to catch.
  • Beyond the carefully made coffee, try the small bistro-style dishes in the manner of a Parisian bouillon.
