The story

Bungalow7 took over the former Balux site on the Athenian riviera, and the space is styled like a chic 1960s beach house. Huge windows let daylight fall across wood panelling and marble, and a terrace opens onto sea views just steps from the water. Beyond the dining room are a beach with sun beds, good showers and an adults-only pool that looks straight out of a Slim Aarons photograph. The kitchen mixes Mediterranean cooking with sushi, alongside meat cuts such as skirt with miso, plus scallops and desserts like Hidden Gold. The day moves from brunch through lunch to dinner, and the golden hour, when the sun sets over the water, is the moment to be here. A separate beach restaurant feeds those spending the day on the sun beds.
