Benoît Castel
Benoît Castel reinvents a storied Ménilmontant bakery as a warm spot where large tables host generous brunch spreads with fresh pastries, vegetables and hot drinks on Saturdays and Sundays.
The story
Pâtissier-boulanger Benoît Castel has transformed the 1950s Ganachaud bakery into a bright, welcoming bakery with exposed brick and vintage chairs. The heart of this Menilmontant address—beyond its seasonal cakes, breads and granola—is a weekend brunch designed for sharing at large communal tables. The weekend brunch brings fresh viennoiseries, bread, butter, roast chicken, salads and savoury quiches to the shared tables. Fresh fruit salad and chocolate fondant accompany the savoury spread, and the all-you-can-eat formula includes fresh-pressed juice and unlimited hot drinks.
