Altromondo Studios

Three rooms of different music, a big main stage and immersive lighting fill Altromondo Studios, the Rimini club whose first opening in 1967 set the template for the Riviera's discos.

The story

Altromondo Studios presents itself as the forefather of today's discos in Riccione and Rimini, a lineage that begins with its first opening in 1967. Decades on, it remains a known name on the Riviera Romagnola, with guest DJs headlining the main room, where Gigi D'Agostino once played live on stage. The space is large. The main room has a big stage for headline events and a huge dancefloor, with a smaller floor beside it and a third room playing a different style of music. Commercial music leads much of the programme, the lighting is bold and immersive, and on foam nights the machines overhead pour foam onto the crowd below. There is also a separate smoking area.

Good to know

TAGGG AI
  • Expect a long queue at the entrance, so arrive with time to spare on busy nights.
  • Drinks work on a token system, and tokens are bought outside before you order at the bar.
  • The sound is very loud, so bringing earplugs is a sensible idea.
